The Bangladesh Madrasa Education Board has mandated the installation of CCTV cameras across all examination centers to ensure the upcoming Alim exams are fair and secure. The directive was issued in an urgent notification signed by the board's Examination Controller, Professor Md. Faruk Ahmed, on Monday, June 8.
To guarantee security and transparency, all exam halls, office rooms, and the officer-in-charge's room must be under constant CCTV surveillance. The directive strictly emphasizes that the room where question papers are opened must be fully monitored. Centers that currently lack CCTV systems have been ordered to complete their installations by June 20.
Center officials are required to register their CCTV details on the board's official website (www.ebmeb.gov.bd). Using their center code and password, officials must log into the Alim eCIS 2026 portal, navigate to 'Miscellaneous Entry,' and select 'Center Information' to save their camera data.
To further boost exam integrity, the board is tightening protocols for collecting question papers from the treasury. Center officers-in-charge must send a signed letter containing the names, addresses, and mobile numbers of all authorized personnel handling the question papers to the board's designated email (dcexam@bmeb.gov.bd).
Finally, the notification states that center officials must securely preserve all examination video footage and make it immediately available to authorities upon request.
