


After cutting gold prices four times in a row, the Bangladesh Jewellers Association (BAJUS) has raised gold prices in the domestic market. The price of 22-carat gold has increased by Tk 6,590 per bhori, taking the new rate to Tk 224,940 per bhori (11.664 grams).
BAJUS announced the revised rates in a notification issued on Saturday morning (June 13). The new prices came into effect from 10:00 am.
According to the association, the price of pure gold has increased in the local market, prompting the adjustment.
Under the new rates:
The previous adjustment took effect on June 11, when BAJUS reduced the price of 22-carat gold by Tk 4,432 per bhori to Tk 218,350.
So far in 2026, gold prices have been revised 74 times in the domestic market. Prices increased 38 times and decreased 36 times. In 2025, gold prices were adjusted 93 times, including 64 increases and 29 decreases.
Alongside gold, BAJUS has also increased silver prices.

Silver prices have been revised 45 times so far this year, with 23 increases and 22 reductions. In 2025, silver prices were adjusted 13 times, rising 10 times and falling three times.
