


The Bangladesh Jewellers Association (BAJUS) has reduced gold prices in the local market for the second time this month, cutting the rate of 22-carat gold by Tk 6,591 per bhori.
The new rates took effect at 10:00 AM today, Wednesday (June 10), according to a BAJUS statement.
The association explained that the price drop follows a continuous decline in the price of pure gold (tejabi gold) in the domestic market.
Following the latest adjustment, the new price structure per bhori (11.664 grams) is 22-Carat Gold New Price (per bhori) Tk 222,782 , Previous Price (as of June 6) Tk 229,373, Total Reduction Tk 6,591, 21-Carat Gold New Price (per bhori) Tk 212,635, Previous Price (as of June 6) Tk 218,933, Total Reduction Tk 6,298, Prices for other silver categories were also downsized, with 21-carat silver set at Tk 4,666, 18-carat at Tk 4,024, and traditional-method silver at Tk 3,033 per bhori.
This drop comes just four days after the previous price revision on June 6, when BAJUS slashed 22-carat gold by Tk 5,482 per bhori.
The local jewelry market has faced unprecedented price fluctuations this year. Today’s adjustment marks the 72nd gold price revision in 2026 alone with prices being hiked 37 times and reduced 35 times. Meanwhile, local silver prices have been adjusted 43 times this year, witnessing 22 increases and 21 reductions.
