Shah Amanat International Airport in Chattogram canceled 10 international flights on Sunday (March 1) due to escalating conflict in the Middle East.
According to an official airport press release, the cancellations include seven arrivals and three departures scheduled throughout the day. The disruption follows the closure of Middle Eastern airspace amid military escalations between the US, Israel, and Iran.
The situation has also severely impacted Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka, leaving thousands of passengers stranded. Airline authorities have advised passengers with late-night flights to avoid traveling to the airport until further notice.
While over 150 flights typically operate daily from Dhaka—mostly serving Middle Eastern routes—there is currently no clear timeline for when operations will resume. Airlines have suspended all flights to the region from Bangladesh until the airspace is deemed safe for travel.
