The current government prioritizes implementing its promises over merely making them, stated Dr. SM Ziauddin Haider the Prime Minister's Special Assistant on Health Affairs.
Speaking at a reception hosted by the Jhalokati Press Club on Friday morning, Dr. Haider outlined the administration's ongoing initiatives. He noted that Prime Minister Tarique Rahman's government has already begun executing actionable projects, including the rollout of family and farmer cards, tree plantation drives, canal and river excavations and expanded employment generation.
Emphasizing the government’s commitment to knowledge-based and development-centric politics, Dr. Haider highlighted a major upcoming public health initiative. "To ensure uninterrupted, round-the-clock medical services at the grassroots level, health centers will be established in every union and municipal ward," he announced. He assured that the nationwide development plans drafted by the Prime Minister would yield visible results in the shortest possible time.
The event felicitated Dr. Haider on his recent appointment, which holds the rank of a State Minister. Jhalokati Press Club President Advocate Akkas Sikder chaired the reception.
Prominent attendees included Jhalokati Deputy Commissioner Md. Momin Uddin, Civil Surgeon Dr. Humayun Kabir, Additional Superintendent of Police Baijit Ibne Akbar, District Council Administrator and District BNP Member Secretary Advocate Shahadat Hossain and Khulna Metropolitan Journalists Union President Rashedul Islam.
