


Despite gloomy and rainy weather, a vibrant summer fruit festival and book exhibition took place in Narail’s Lohagara upazila on Thursday afternoon. The event, celebrating both local agriculture and literature was organized by the historic Ram Narayan Public Library and held in its main auditorium.
Lohagara Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) and Library President Shammi Kaiser presided over the gathering. The event drew several notable local figures as guests of honor, including SM Hayatuzzaman, Headmaster of Lohagara Government Pilot High School; Upazila BNP Acting President Himayet Hossain; local BNP Senior Vice President Sacchu Mia; agriculturist Raghunath Kar; Library Convening Committee Member Secretary Kazi Mostafa Kamal Milon and Chief Librarian Siddiqur Rahman.
Attendees, including regular library readers and general visitors, were treated to a diverse spread of seasonal local fruits, celebrating Bangladesh's rich summer harvest.
Following the exhibition and fruit tasting, the festive afternoon concluded with a delightful cultural program featuring performances by local artists.
