


Prime Minister Tarique Rahman held a bilateral meeting with Chinese Premier Li Qiang at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing. The talks began at 5:00 p.m. local time on Thursday, June 25.
According to the Prime Minister’s Additional Press Secretary, Atiqur Rahman Rumon, Prime Minister Rahman and Premier Li led their respective high-level delegations during the discussions.Foreign Affairs Advisor Humayun Kabir stated that the meeting focused on strengthening Bangladesh-China relations, with key priorities including trade, investment, and infrastructure development. Following the talks, the two leaders are expected to oversee the signing of 15 Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) across various sectors.
The Bangladesh delegation includes Foreign Minister Khalilur Rahman, Information and Broadcasting Minister Zahir Uddin Swapan, State Minister for Energy and Power Anindya Islam Amit, Finance and Planning Advisor Rashed Al Mahmud Titumir, and Education Affairs Advisor Mahdi Amin.Earlier in the day, Prime Minister Rahman arrived at the Great Hall in a motorcade from the Diaoyutai State Guesthouse. Concluding the meeting, Premier Li hosted a state banquet in honor of the Bangladeshi Prime Minister.
