Nearly 27,000 children across eight unions in Shantiganj Upazila, Sunamganj, will receive Vitamin A Plus capsules on Sunday, June 28. The local distribution will run at various health camps from morning to afternoon, coinciding with a nationwide health drive.

Health officials confirmed the specific target of 26,961 children during an advocacy meeting at the 50-bed Shantiganj Upazila Hospital on Thursday morning.

To ensure maximum public participation, authorities will run awareness announcements using local mosque loudspeakers across the entire upazila on the day of the campaign.

Dr. Iqbal Hasan, Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer, chaired the meeting. Key attendees included Shantiganj Police Officer-in-Charge Aliullah, Upazila Family Planning Officer Md. Kamal Uddin, and Hospital Resident Physician Dr. Tariq Jamil Apu, alongside local journalists and medical technologists.
