Police in Kaliganj, Lalmonirhat, arrested a suspected drug dealer with 195 bottles of illegal Indian ESkuf Cough Syrup during a special anti-narcotics operation on Friday night, September 18.
Acting under the direction of Lalmonirhat Superintendent of Police Md. Tarikul Islam, the Kaliganj police conducted the late-night raid in Chandrapur Union’s Ward No. 2, near the Kadamtala Bridge area.
The arrested suspect, Bitul Mia (29), was found with the contraband and two motorcycles allegedly used for transporting the drugs. Police reported that three accomplices managed to escape during the operation.
Legal action has been initiated against the arrested and absconding suspects, confirmed Kaliganj Police Station officials.
