BNP's candidate for the Pabna-3 constituency (Chatmohar-Bhangura-Faridpur), agriculturist Hasan Jafir Tuhin, has shown his commitment to collaborate with other candidates to ensure success in the rice field. He also stated that if elected, he will contribute to the establishment of good governance throughout the region.
This statement was made by Krishak Dal Central President Hasan Jafir Tuhin during a press conference held at his residence in Bonthor village of Chatmohar upazila of Pabna on Monday night (November 3). Tuhin expressed his gratitude to Allah Ta'ala for receiving the BNP nomination. He also paid tribute to the late BNP founder, martyr President Ziaur Rahman, and extended his thanks to BNP chief Begum Khaleda Zia and acting chairman Tarique Rahman. He remarked, "I aim to conduct the election in a peaceful atmosphere, guided by the advice of experienced senior BNP leaders in the Chatmohar-Bhangura-Faridpur upazilas.
The Pabna-3 constituency has been overlooked in the country. It is home to peace-loving individuals. I will run the election with the support of everyone and strive to uphold the tradition of democratic practice." Highlighting the violation of voting rights during the previous administration, agriculture expert Tuhin noted, "After many years, the public is eager to vote in the upcoming election. He called on the voters of Pabna-3 constituency to support the paddy sheaf symbol." He added, "All candidates vying for party nomination for Pabna-3 were recently summoned to the party headquarters, where senior leaders instructed them to select a nominated candidate to ensure unity.
I will personally visit the homes of senior leaders across the three upazilas to request their assistance in the election campaign for the paddy sheaf. An election management committee will be established in every upazila, union, and polling station with everyone's involvement." He also sought the cooperation of journalists and urged them to avoid publishing false information.
In addition to seeking the collaboration of journalists and encouraging them to avoid disseminating false information, Hasan Jafir Tuhin stated, ‘You should exercise caution and report your news in a manner that does not disrupt the election environment by spreading any inaccurate information. The election will proceed in line with the established code of conduct. Should there be any legal infractions, and if the claims are substantiated, you will carry out your duties. The election manifesto will be revealed by inviting journalists from three upazilas shortly.’ Responding to various inquiries from journalists, Hasan Jafir Tuhin remarked, ‘If I am elected, my initial focus will be on enhancing the communication infrastructure.
