


Dinajpur Deputy Commissioner (DC) Rafiqul Islam has urged election officials to view their duties as a sacred responsibility, stating that carrying out government assignments with honesty is a "great act of worship."
The DC made these remarks as the chief guest during a day-long training workshop for polling officials on Sunday afternoon. The session, held at Golam Mustafa (GM) Pilot High School, was designed for those tasked with conducting the upcoming 13th National Parliament election and the constitutional referendum.
Addressing the participants, DC Rafiqul Islam emphasized that the credibility of the entire election rests on the shoulders of those on the front lines. "Fair voting and accurate counting are the foundations of an acceptable election," he said. "If presiding, assistant presiding, and polling officers fulfill their roles with dedication and sincerity, a truly impartial election is possible."
Special guest Superintendent of Police Md. Zedan Al Musa assured officials of comprehensive security measures to protect both voters and polling staff. The workshop was inaugurated by District Senior Election Officer Zilhaj Uddin. 672 officials. 54 Presiding Officers, 308 Assistant Presiding Officers, and 310 Polling Officers.
The event was attended by Phulbari Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) and Assistant Returning Officer Ahmed Hasan, along with senior police and administrative officials. The training focused on technical procedures and the importance of collective effort to ensure a transparent voting process.
