Ahead of the 13th National Parliament election, BNP nominated candidate for Khulna-6 (Paikgacha-Koira) constituency SM Monirul Hasan (Bappi) has presented a complete description of his financial capacity, professional identity and assets in the sworn affidavit submitted to the Election Commission. Analysis of the affidavit shows that he has built a stable financial structure through long-term contracting, fish farm management and agriculture-based activities.

In the information submitted to the Election Commission, SM Monirul Hasan Bappi has mentioned contracting business, fish farm management and agriculture as his profession. The main source of his annual income is the agricultural sector, from which he has shown an income of 5 lakh 4 thousand taka. In addition, he has an income of 3 lakh 85 thousand 843 taka from rent from houses, apartments and commercial establishments. Although the income received from relatives is relatively low, it is also clearly mentioned in the affidavit.

His transparency in financial transactions is particularly noteworthy. According to the affidavit, he has 61 lakh 59 thousand 61 taka in cash and 20 lakh 52 thousand 138 taka in various banks. The amount of cash and bank deposits in his wife's name is limited, which shows the reality of the family's financial structure.

SM Monirul Hasan Bappi also has a solid foundation in terms of immovable assets. He owns 36.2713 acres of agricultural land, which bears evidence of his long association with the agricultural economy. The estimated value of a house received from his wife's mother in the Kuril area of Dhaka is shown as 1 crore 28 lakh 50 thousand taka. In addition, the value of the ancestral homestead in the Badhal area of Rupsha upazila of Khulna is estimated at 12 lakh taka. In addition, the lease value of the fish farm is mentioned as 6 lakh taka.

The affidavit also clearly mentions the loans taken for business expansion and house construction, which indicates the continuity of his ongoing investment and economic activities. According to experts, such investments in the productive sector can play a positive role in the economic dynamics of a region.

In all, according to the affidavit, the total estimated assets of SM Monirul Hasan Bappi are Tk 1 crore 35 lakh 60 thousand. The concerned people believe that this affidavit, filed on December 29, 2025, is a clear reflection of his financial position and professional transparency.

As the election competition in Khulna-6 constituency is gradually gaining momentum, the expectation that this transparent and moderate financial picture of a candidate will further strengthen the trust of voters is now at the center of discussion in the local political arena.
