Nominations of 5 candidates in Faridpur-3 Sadar constituency valid, one cancelled

The District Returning Officer has verified the nomination papers of Faridpur-3 Sadar constituency in the upcoming 13th national election. Out of a total of 6 candidates, 5 nominations, including BNP and Jamaat candidates, have been declared valid, while one has been cancelled.

The verification was held at the conference room of Faridpur Deputy Commissioner's office at 11 am on Friday. All the candidates of the Sadar constituency were present at the time.

District Returning Officer Md. Kamrul Hasan Molla said that after verifying the submitted nomination papers, one independent candidate was declared invalid due to tampering in his documents. Besides, the nomination papers of 5 other candidates have been declared valid.

After declaring their respective nomination papers valid, BNP candidate Chowdhury Nayab Yusuf and Jamaat candidate Professor Abdut Tawab expressed their gratitude.

Both of them said that till now the election environment is good, we are happy with the ongoing work of the administration. We hope that there will be a good election.
