Islami Andolan Bangladesh's nomination papers collected for Lakshmipur-4 constituency

Maulana Khaled Saifullah, the nominated (fan) candidate of Islami Andolan Bangladesh for Lakshmipur-4 (Ramgati-Kamalnagar) constituency in the upcoming 13th National Parliament election, has collected his nomination papers.

He collected his nomination papers from Assistant Returning Officer and Upazila Executive Officer (UNO) Rahat Uz Zaman at around 12 noon on Thursday (December 18).

Maulana Khaled Saifullah had contested from this constituency in the 2008 National Parliament election with the fan symbol. He was a member of the party's Central Advisory Council and the Kamalnagar Upazila Chairman of Lakshmipur. Earlier, he was the UP Chairman of Charkadira Union Parishad of the upazila for two consecutive terms. He is the son-in-law and Khalifa of the daughter of Hazrat Hafezzi Huzur (RA). As a religious chairman, he is well-liked by all sections of the people of this region. Although he was a very simple person in his behavior, dress and appearance, he was very strict in carrying out his duties as a public representative. As a religious chairman, he is a popular and respected person in Lakshmipur-4 (Ramgati-Kamalnagar) constituency.

After collecting nominations, Maulana Khaled Saifullah said, I have filed my nomination papers in accordance with the laws of the Election Commission. I will submit the nomination form to the appropriate authorities within the stipulated time, God willing. I seek the prayers of the people of Lakshmipur-4 constituency, Ramgati-Kamalnagar, through you. In response to a question from journalists, he said, the process of saving the candidates of 8 like-minded parties is still ongoing. He expressed hope that the Islamic Movement will get this seat.

Present at the time were - Islamic Movement Bangladesh leader Maulana Aham Noman Siraji, Kamalnagar Upazila President Maulana Abdur Rahman, Vice President Mufti Shariful Islam and other leaders.
