Kachua Marks July Uprising Day and Honours Families of Martyrs

July Uprising Day was observed in Kachua through various programmes, including a discussion meeting and a reception honoring the families of the movement's martyrs.

Organized by the Kachua Upazila administration, the programme took place at the Upazila Auditorium on Wednesday morning. Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Md. Ali Hasan presided over the meeting.

The event brought together cross-party political leaders, civil administration officials, and journalists. Notable attendees included Kachua Upazila BNP President Sardar Zahid, General Secretary SM Touhidul Islam and Upazila Jamaat Ameer Md. Rafiqul Islam.

During the discussion, speakers paid rich tributes to those who sacrificed their lives during the July Mass Uprising. They called for proper evaluation of the martyrs' sacrifices, the realization of the movement's core values and swift trials for those responsible for the killings.

The programme concluded with special prayers seeking eternal peace for the departed souls of the martyrs and the continued welfare of their surviving family members.
