Bangladesh Sets Guinness World Record in Parachute Jump

Bangladesh has set a Guinness World Record by hoisting the highest number of national flags 54 in total simultaneously during a special parachute jump operation.

The record has been officially confirmed by Guinness World Records, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

In a statement, ISPR said the extraordinary operation was carried out in Dhaka on December 16, 2025, marking the Great Victory Day. Skilled skydivers of the Bangladesh Armed Forces took part in the event, during which 54 red-and-green national flags were flown together in the sky, earning “Team Bangladesh” the world record.

According to the Guinness World Records website, the initiative was undertaken to showcase national unity and to make the Victory Day celebration memorable. ISPR noted that the achievement is not just a world record, but also a symbol of Bangladesh’s confidence, discipline, and the professionalism of its armed forces, which will remain a proud moment in the nation’s history.
