Distributed Tk 10 lakh Among 139 Needy People in Lakshmipur

Financial assistance worth Tk 10 lakh has been distributed among 139 needy and distressed people in Lakshmipur.

The cheques were handed over at a programme held at the seminar room on Gohata Road in Lakshmipur town on Thursday afternoon.

Water Resources Minister Shahid Uddin Chowdhury Anee attended the event as the chief guest and distributed the cheques. Lakshmipur Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer Kethuai Propro Marma and local representatives were also present.

According to organisers, 61 beneficiaries received Tk 10,000 each, while 78 others received Tk 5,000 each.

Speaking at the event, the minister said the government is continuing various assistance programmes to support underprivileged people. He expressed hope that such support would help improve their living conditions.

The beneficiaries expressed gratitude for the financial assistance.
