


Water Resources Minister Shahid Uddin Chowdhury Anee announced on Saturday that the government will give top priority to technical education in high schools alongside general studies.
Speaking as the chief guest at the annual sports prize distribution ceremony at Pratapganj High School in Chandraganj, Laxmipur, the minister emphasized that practical skills are vital for the youth. Prior to the discussion meeting, he inaugurated a newly constructed academic building for the school.
Minister Anee, who represents the Laxmipur-3 constituency and serves as the BNP Joint Secretary General, stated that the government is actively implementing support systems to boost student performance. This includes targeted stipends for technical training and a pilot mid-day meal program in primary schools to improve overall student health and attendance.
The event was chaired by Anwar Hossain Bachchu, President of the Pratapganj High School Management Committee. Other prominent attendees included Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Kathoypru Marma, Chandraganj Police Station OC Morshed Alam, and school Headmaster Sirajul Islam.
