Laxmipur District BNP held a meeting on Thursday night to review security arrangements for the upcoming Sharadiya Durga Puja and outline strategy for local government elections.
The meeting took place at the Bashir Uddin Villa auditorium in Laxmipur town chaired by District BNP Joint Convener Hasibur Rahman Hasib. BNP Joint Secretary General and Laxmipur-3 MP Shahid Uddin Chowdhury Anee attended as the chief guest.
Party leaders focused on maintaining communal harmony, ensuring peace around puja mandaps (pavilions) and preventing untoward incidents during the festival. Chief guest Anee directed local activists to stay vigilant and support law enforcement throughout the celebrations.
The leadership also stressed organizational unity ahead of local government elections also urging party units to field single, agreed-upon candidates in each constituency to maximize electoral success.
Senior leaders from Laxmipur Sadar Upazila West, Sadar Upazila East, Laxmipur Municipal and Chandragonj Upazila BNP units attended the session.
