LPG Prices Rise in August; 12kg Cylinder Now Tk 1,598

The Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) has raised the retail prices of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) for August, increasing the cost of a 12-kilogram cylinder by Tk 70.

The new price of a 12kg LPG cylinder is Tk 1,598, up from Tk 1,528 in July. The revised prices took effect at 6 p.m. on Sunday, August 2.

The commission also raised the price of autogas, which is used in vehicles. The new price is Tk 73.67 per liter, compared with Tk 70.40 in July.

BERC said LPG and autogas prices are revised monthly based on international market prices and other associated costs.
