New Madhukhali UNO Meets Press Seeks Cooperation for a Drug-Free Upazila

Md. Masudur Rahman the newly appointed Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) of Madhukhali held an introductory meeting with local journalists at his office on Sunday at noon.

During the exchange Rahman emphasized the media’s crucial role in social reform and governance. "Journalists are the conscience of the nation" he stated urging reporters to practice honest journalism. He highlighted that media support is vital to making Madhukhali a drug-free upazila.

The UNO outlined his vision to build a clean safe and people-friendly municipality alongside a modern upazila. To achieve this he welcomed constructive criticism from the press to ensure transparency accountability and the quality of public services. He assured journalists that the local administration would work closely with the media on all matters regarding development law and order, and public interest.

In response local journalists welcomed the new UNO with a floral tribute pledging their continued coordination with the administration for the region's development and public welfare.

Notable attendees included Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) Pratik Dutta and Madhukhali Press Club leaders including President Md. Moniruzzaman Mridha (Monnu) General Secretary Md. Mehedi Hossain Palash and Joint General Secretary Md. Mofizur Rahman Mubin alongside other media professionals.
