Bangladesh received $2.859 billion in remittances in July, the first month of the 2026–27 fiscal year, according to updated data from Bangladesh Bank released Sunday.
The July inflow was 15.4% higher than the amount received during the same month last year.
Bangladesh received about $2.478 billion in remittances in July 2025. The latest figure therefore represents an increase of roughly $381 million year on year.
According to Bangladesh Bank data, remittances totaled $152 million during the final two days of July, helping push the monthly total to $2.859 billion.
The strong inflow at the beginning of the new fiscal year indicates continued growth in remittances sent through formal banking channels.
