Faridpur Dignitaries Mourn Passing of BNP Leader's Wife

State Minister for Foreign Affairs and BNP Organizing Secretary (Faridpur Division) Shama Obaid Islam, MP, alongside local lawmakers and prominent citizens, have expressed deep shock and sorrow over the untimely demise of Mehezabiin Akhter Lotus. She was the wife of Faridpur District BNP Member Secretary AK Kibria Swapan.

In separate condolence messages today, State Minister Shama Obaid Islam, Faridpur-3 MP Nayab Ahmed, and Faridpur-4 MP Shahidul Islam Babul prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul and extended heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved family.

Faridpur District Council Administrator Abzal Hossain Khan Palash, Madaripur District Council Administrator Khondaker Mashukur Rahman, and Faridpur Press Club President Kabirul Islam Siddiqui also offered their condolences.

Mehezabiin Akhter Lotus passed away on Thursday morning while undergoing treatment at a hospital in Dhaka. She was 45. She leaves behind her husband, two sons, and many well-wishers.

Her Namaz-e-Janaza (funeral prayer) was held at the Chawkbazar Jame Mosque after Jummah prayers on Friday. People from all walks of life, transcending political affiliations, attended the prayers before she was laid to rest at the Alipur Cemetery.
