MEP Group Holds Electricians' Safety Meeting in Morelganj

An exchange meeting for local electricians was held in Morelganj Upazila of Bagerhat, organized by the electrical goods manufacturer MEP Group.

The meeting took place on Thursday (July 9) at the Upazila Model Mosque conference room, with senior electrician Md. Alamgir Hoson presiding. Md. Habibur Rahman, Divisional Sales Manager (DSM) of MEP Group, attended as the chief guest. Special guests included Jubo Raj, Junior Engineer of Bagerhat Palli Bidyut Samity, and MEP Distributor Md. Al Amin Khan, alongside Md. Shah-Alam, Kislu Sharif, Jamal Hossain, Sohel Mahmud, and Fazlul Haque Khokon.

During the session, the participating electricians highlighted the significant life risks they face daily while working with electricity. In response, the MEP Group representative announced that the company plans to introduce insurance policies for registered electricians in the near future.

Around 80 electricians from Morelganj and Sharankhola upazilas participated in the event. All attendees received a complimentary tool kit containing a bag, pliers, and a voltage tester. The event concluded with a raffle draw, where 10 participants won various company products.

The program was coordinated by Territory Sales Manager (TSM) Md. Imam Hossain, with assistance from Field Officers Md. Chan Mia and Ashraful Islam.
