The Kalia Upazila Administration in Narail on Tuesday held a coordination meeting to finalize preparations for the 2026 Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations, with officials emphasizing strict measures to ensure the tests are conducted fairly, peacefully and free from cheating.

The meeting took place at the Kalia Upazila Parishad auditorium and focused on examination management, the responsibilities of officials, maintaining order at examination centers and implementing effective anti-cheating measures.

Addressing the meeting, Kalia Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Md. Jinnatul Islam said all officials assigned to the examinations—including center secretaries, invigilators, tag officers and law enforcement personnel—must work in close coordination to ensure the examinations begin smoothly on July 2.

He stressed that the education board's guidelines must be followed strictly to maintain transparency, discipline and the integrity of the examination process.

Other speakers included Assistant Commissioner (Land) Shrabani Biswas, Kalia Police Station Officer-in-Charge Md. Idris Ali, Upazila Academic Supervisor Md. Sarafat Hossain, Upazila Agriculture Extension Officer Suman Sarkar and Upazila ICT Officer Proshphut Mondal.

Officials reviewed examination procedures and discussed measures to strengthen security, improve coordination among stakeholders and prevent malpractice at all examination centers.

The meeting was attended by invigilators, examination center officials, tag officers and other stakeholders responsible for overseeing the HSC and equivalent examinations across Kalia Upazila.
