


The monthly meeting of the Louhajang Upazila Law and Order Committee was held on Monday to review the area's security situation and strengthen efforts against drug abuse and crime.
The meeting took place at the Upazila Parishad conference room and was chaired by Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Farzana Bobby Mitu.
Committee members discussed the overall law and order situation, measures to eliminate narcotics, and ways to maintain social stability across the upazila. Speakers placed particular emphasis on taking more effective action to curb drug trafficking and abuse through coordinated efforts by law enforcement agencies and the local administration.
Among those attending were Assistant Commissioner (Land) Md. Erfanur Rahman, LGED Engineer Md. Rezaul Islam, Upazila Agriculture Officer Md. Hasan Uddoula, Officer-in-Charge of Louhajang Police Station Md. Borhanul Islam, Officer-in-Charge of Padma Bridge (North) Police Station Md. Akter Hossain, and representatives from the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), including Abdus Salam Molla, Omar Faruk Obak, and Md. Badal Hawlader.
Officials from the education, health, social welfare, public health engineering, election, women's affairs, rural electrification, fire service, coast guard, naval police, tourist police, Ansar, Islamic Foundation and other government departments also attended the meeting, along with representatives of local press clubs and journalists.
Panel chairpersons from all unions under Louhajang Upazila, administrative officials, and representatives from various government offices also participated in the monthly coordination meeting.
