


The Banga Mills of Pran Group, located in Phulbari, Dinajpur, has officially launched its Aman paddy collection initiative, which is managed at the farmer level and under its direct oversight.
The inauguration took place on Wednesday morning at the Rangamati Pran BML factory premises, led by Pran Group's Managing Director, Md. Elias Mridha.
The event was chaired by BML General Manager Zakaria and was graced by the presence of BML Executive Director Md. Naser Ahmed, Pran Foods Executive Director Md. Saiful Islam Sikder, Pran Seeds-Fertilizers-Pesticides Executive Director Md. Sheikh Wares-ul Habib, and BBL Chief Operating Officer Eng. S. M. Mostafa Afzal Babu.
During this Aman-25 season, under its supervision and through contracted farmers, rice varieties such as Binadhan-17 and Bridhan-33, 34, 49, 51, 75, 87, 90, 93, along with the newly developed high-yielding Bridhan-103, have been cultivated across 1,450 acres. It was reported at the event that the yield for Bridhan-103 has reached an impressive maximum of 75 maunds per acre.
For the current season, Banga Millers Limited aims to collect a total of 2,750 metric tons of rice, which includes 750 metric tons from its own production and 2,000 metric tons sourced from contracted farmers in the Dinajpur and Rangpur regions.
