Kazi Raonakul Islam Tipu Takes Charge as New MD of BCCT

Kazi Raonakul Islam Tipu officially took charge as the new Managing Director (MD) of the Bangladesh Climate Change Trust (BCCT) on Sunday.

Following his assumption of office, Tipu met with BCCT officials and staff. He stressed the importance of mitigating climate risks and improving adaptive capacity across the country. Furthermore, he directed the team to execute all BCCT-funded projects with heightened transparency, accountability, and speed.

"The Bangladesh Climate Change Trust is vital for implementing the government's priority programs to tackle climate change," Tipu said. He pledged to work closely with all stakeholders to ensure the Trust’s initiatives effectively serve the public welfare.

Senior officials and staff attended Sunday's handover ceremony. Tipu’s appointment was formally announced on July 23 through a Ministry of Public Administration notification, issued by order of the President. He assumes the role on a one-year contract with the rank and status of a Grade-2 official.
