Man Killed by Speeding Train in Ramu, Cox's Bazar

A 40-year-old man was killed by a speeding train while crossing the railway tracks in Ramu upazila of Cox's Bazar on Monday morning.

The victim identified as Md. Abdullah son of the late Abdul Sabur died on the spot.

The accident occurred at around 11:00 am near Sikder Para in Fatekharkul Union. According to locals and eyewitnesses, Abdullah was struck while walking across the tracks and succumbed to his fatal injuries immediately. The incident drew a large crowd of mourning locals to the area.

Ramu Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) A. K. Fazlul Haque confirmed the death. He stated that police recovered the body and are sending it to the Cox's Bazar Sadar Hospital morgue for an autopsy.

The sudden tragedy has cast a deep shadow of grief over the Sikder Para community.
