Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Dr. Ahsanara Binte Ahmed visited 'Zia Primary Health Care' in Kapilmuni Nagar Serampur under Khulna’s Paikgachha upazila on Monday morning.
The rural healthcare facility was established by Anwar Al-Din, Chairman of the Bangladesh News Agency (BSS).
During her inspection, Dr. Ahmed reviewed the center's overall medical operations, medicine distribution system and service quality. She highly praised the initiative for bringing free and affordable healthcare to the doorsteps of marginalized communities.
"This institution is playing a very commendable role in ensuring vital medical services reach ordinary people in rural areas," Dr. Ahmed remarked.
In addition to the health center the Upazila Health Officer visited the nearby Iqra Academy and the Baitul Mamur Mosque and Cultural Center. She took the time to inquire about the academy's educational programs as well as the religious and social activities organized by the cultural center.
Local community leaders and representatives from the respective organizations accompanied the health officer throughout her visit.
