


A National Cultural Competition based on Kazi Nazrul Islam has been launched in Pabna for students of educational institutions. Organized by the Pabna District Administration under the Ministry of Culture's initiative the event was inaugurated Monday afternoon at the District Shilpakala Academy auditorium.
The inauguration was attended by Pabna Deputy Commissioner Aminul Islam, Ministry of Culture Deputy Secretary Rabeya Basri and Police Superintendent Abu Ashraf along with teachers, students and members of the local cultural community.
Speakers at the event described Kazi Nazrul Islam as one of the most influential figures in Bengali literature, music and culture. They said competitions like this help spread his non-communal spirit and ideals of equality, humanity and patriotism among younger generations while also introducing students to his literary works and nurturing their creative abilities.
The inauguration ceremony concluded with a cultural program following the discussion session.
