Ireland completed a historic 2-0 T20 International series sweep over India with a dramatic one-run victory in the second and final match on Sunday in Belfast.
After being sent in to bat, Ireland posted 154-8 in 20 overs. Harry Tector led the scoring with 53 off 47 balls, while Ben Calitz added a valuable 37 from 23 deliveries.
India debutant Prince Yadav impressed with the ball, taking 3-22 in his four-over spell.
Chasing 155, the reigning T20 world champions fell just short, finishing on 153-9.
Ireland's bowlers once again led the way, with Jai Moondra and Matt Holler claiming three wickets each to seal a memorable victory.
India's top order collapsed early, slipping to 35-4 in just 4.5 overs. Rain briefly interrupted play when the visitors were 54-4 after eight overs, but the delay did little to halt Ireland's momentum.
Tilak Varma anchored India's innings with 55 off 46 balls. However, with the required run rate climbing, he was caught at long-off off Holler in the 18th over, leaving India with too much to do.
Harshit Rana then sparked hopes of a dramatic comeback, blasting 21 off just 10 balls, including two fours and a six.
Defending 20 runs in the final over, Harry Tector bowled two wides and a no-ball, reducing India's target to eight runs from the last two deliveries.
Harshit attempted to clear the long-on boundary but instead found Tim Tector in the deep, effectively ending India's chances.
Prince Yadav struck a six from the final ball, but India still finished one run short as Ireland celebrated one of the biggest victories in the nation's cricket history.
Ireland had already made history by winning the opening T20I by 34 runs on Friday, marking their first-ever victory over India in any international format. The second win completed their first series sweep against the cricket powerhouse.
