According to a BERC notification released on Thursday afternoon (July 2), the new rates will take effect from 6:00 PM today.

Vehicle owners will also see relief as the price of automotive gas (autogas) has been reduced to Tk 70.40 per liter from Tk 86.93.

Last month, BERC had reduced the 12-kg cylinder price from Tk 1,940 to Tk 1,885, and autogas from Tk 89.50 to Tk 86.93 per liter.
