Court Clears Way for 32,000 Primary Head Teacher Hires

Legal barriers to appointing head teachers in 32,000 government primary schools have been lifted. The Appellate Division delivered this verdict on Thursday (July 2), dismissing a stay order that had previously stalled the recruitment process.

Earlier, Education and Primary and Mass Education Minister Dr. ANM Ehsanul Haque Milon stated that the government had initiated the hiring of 32,500 head teachers to resolve a nationwide staffing shortage. While the process was temporarily suspended due to the court's stay order, the government had been actively working to resolve the complication.

With Thursday's ruling, the government can now resume these appointments without further legal delays.
