Bangladesh Bat First Against South Africa, Make Two Changes to Playing XI

Bangladesh have opted to bat first after winning the toss against South Africa in their Women’s ODI World Cup clash on Monday (13 October) in Visakhapatnam. The Tigresses are aiming to return to winning ways after two back-to-back defeats.

Captain Nigar Sultana Joty, after winning the toss, said: "This is a good batting wicket. If we can put up a decent total on the board, it will help our bowlers later on."

On the other hand, South African skipper Laura Wolvaardt said she wasn’t too disappointed to lose the toss: "We would have bowled first anyway. Dew might make it harder to grip the ball later, and the ball tends to come on better under lights."

Two Changes for Bangladesh

Bangladesh made two changes to their line-up for this crucial match. Experienced batter Farzana Haque and all-rounder Ritu Moni have been recalled to the playing XI, replacing Nishita Akter Nishi and Sumaiya Akter.

Bangladesh Playing XI vs South Africa:

Rubaiya Haider, Farzana Haque, Sharmin Akter, Nigar Sultana Joty (C), Sobhana Mostary, Swarna Akter, Fahima Khatun, Nahida Akter, Rabeya Khan, Ritu Moni, Marufa Akter.
