


The Chattogram Regional T20 Cricket Tournament 2026 will begin on Wednesday (September 16) at the Bir Shreshtha Shaheed Matiur Rahman Cricket Stadium in Chattogram, as organisers seek to revive regular on-field cricket in the region.
The tournament final is scheduled for September 21.
Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) director and tournament convenor Minhajul Abedin Nannu announced the details at a press conference on Monday (September 14).
“We are organising this tournament to revive cricket in Chattogram after a period of inactivity and to create a suitable environment for players to prepare for the upcoming season,” Nannu said. “Our journey is aimed at ensuring that cricket on the field never comes to a halt.”
The 11 districts of Chattogram Division have been divided into four zones, with four teams formed for the tournament. Each squad includes experienced local players as well as two emerging cricketers from the Under-19 team.
The participating teams are Ispahani Karnaphuli, Fortis Mainamati, Fizup Bhuluya and Sampan.
Ispahani Karnaphuli represents Chattogram district and Chattogram city and is sponsored by Ispahani Group of Companies. Fortis Mainamati comprises Cumilla, Chandpur and Brahmanbaria and is sponsored by Fortis Group.
Fizup Bhuluya represents Noakhali, Feni and Lakshmipur and is sponsored by Taws Bin Beni Amin Chowdhury, BCB councillor from Noakhali. Sampan comprises Rangamati, Bandarban, Khagrachhari and Cox's Bazar and is sponsored by BCB director Saied Ibrahim Ahmed.
Group-stage matches will be played on September 16, 17 and 19, followed by the final on September 21.
Organisers said every match will be broadcast live on N Sports for spectators. Ball-by-ball live scores will also be available through the CrickHeroes app.
PHP Group, Ispahani Group, Fortis Group, BCB director Saied Ibrahim Ahmed, Sirajuddin Mohammad Alamgir, Israfil Khasru, Sakif Ahmed Salam, BCB councillor Taws Bin Beni Amin Chowdhury and Abu Sadat Mohammad Sayem are supporting the tournament.

The tournament trophy was unveiled after the press conference.
