Chhatra Dal activists at Lakshmipur Government College carried out a cleanliness drive on Monday to raise awareness about dengue prevention among students.
Organised under the party's central programme, Chhatra Dal leaders cleaned the college courtyard and surrounding areas, urging students to stay alert as dengue cases rise nationwide. General Secretary Bahadur Hossain Noble said the campus cleanup was part of the central initiative and stressed the need for awareness, noting the rising number of dengue cases and deaths across the country.
Organisational Secretary Hasan Nirab said Chhatra Dal regularly runs student-welfare programmes and would continue doing so. Vice President Imtiaz Ahmed Babu and other leaders and activists also took part.
College Principal Yusuf welcomed the initiative, thanking Chhatra Dal for the effort and calling for such student-friendly programmes to continue. He urged students and parents alike to remain cautious about dengue prevention.
