Tanvir Hasan Tamim, a student of Pikaigacha Town Secondary School in Khulna, has achieved GPA-5 in the SSC 2026 examination after his result was changed following a re-scrutiny of his answer scripts.
Tanvir had applied for re-scrutiny after failing to achieve the result he had expected in the initial publication. Following the review, his result was revised to GPA-5, bringing joy to his family and teachers at the school.
His success is the outcome of long-term perseverance, regular study, hard work and proper guidance from his teachers. Family members said his sustained efforts had finally produced the result he had hoped for.
Tanvir is the younger of two siblings. His father, Rabiul Islam, is a member of the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB), while his mother, Nazma Sultana, is a homemaker. His elder sister is studying in the Department of Social Work at Eden Mohila College in the 2021–22 academic session.
According to his family, a supportive and disciplined home environment played an important role in Tanvir's studies.
Expressing his feelings after receiving the revised result, Tanvir Hasan Tamim said, “The news that I had achieved GPA-5 was an extremely joyful and proud moment for me and my family. After receiving the result I had worked and waited for so long to achieve, I felt that all my efforts had finally paid off.”
He expressed gratitude to his parents and teachers for supporting his success.
“All success belongs to Almighty Allah. After Him, my biggest sources of inspiration behind this achievement are my parents, teachers and family members,” he said. “In particular, I will never forget the contributions of my beloved teachers Asit Sir and Gopal Sir.”
Tanvir said he followed a fixed study routine every day. He completed his daily lessons on the same day and devoted additional time to subjects he found difficult. He prepared for the examination through regular practice, revision and model tests, along with guidance from his teachers. He also gave the highest priority to the main board textbooks.
Tanvir now hopes to build a career through which he can contribute to the welfare of the country and its people. For now, his immediate goal is to achieve a good result in higher secondary education and continue to higher studies.
Addressing his classmates and juniors, Tanvir said, “The result of a single examination can never be a complete assessment of a student's life. If you do not get the result you hoped for, do not become discouraged. Identify your mistakes, correct them and move forward with faith in Almighty Allah.”
Tanvir's achievement is more than a story of securing GPA-5. It is also an example of perseverance—showing how a student who was initially dissatisfied with his result did not give up and ultimately achieved his desired outcome through the re-scrutiny process.
