The Shantiganj Upazila unit of Islami Andolan Bangladesh has held its conference, with a partial committee announced ahead of the organisation's 2028 session.
The conference was held at 4pm on Saturday (September 12) at the Liberation War Complex Hall in Shantiganj Upazila.
Leaders of the Sunamganj district unit of Islami Andolan Bangladesh presided over and led the programme. Among those present were district president Mufti Shahidul Islam Palashi, vice-president Alhaj Qari Muhibbullah Haque Azad and secretary Maulana Sohel Ahmed.
At the conference, Maulana Ilias Ahmed was named president of the new Shantiganj Upazila committee, while Qari Hossain Ahmed was appointed vice-president. Maulana Mamun Ahmed was named secretary and Mufti Fedaur Rahman joint secretary.
The newly appointed committee members sought prayers and cooperation from all concerned so that they can properly carry out their organisational responsibilities. They also expressed gratitude to the leaders, activists and well-wishers who attended the conference.
The new committee leaders expressed hope that they would work together to further strengthen the organisation's activities and advance the ideals and organisational programmes of Islami Andolan Bangladesh.
