


The three-day Eid festival organized by Dhaka citizens began on Friday at Rabindra Sarobar, celebrating the city’s cultural heritage.
The first day featured a day-long mehndi festival, followed by an evening cultural programme with a performance by NCP spokesperson Asif Mahmud.
According to the organizing committee, the festival aims to revive the traditional culture and festive spirit of Dhaka.
On the second day, a colorful Eid procession will start from the High Court premises, reflecting the city’s historic Eid celebrations. The third day will feature a kite festival at Suhrawardy Udyan, with participation from people of all ages.
Organizers said historically, Eid in Dhaka was a major occasion for citizens to gather and celebrate culture and joy. The festival continues this tradition with active participation from the community.
