Prominent Islamic negotiator Maulana Mizanur Rahman Azhari has declared the cancellation of all divisional Tafsir Mahfils scheduled to take place in open fields this year. He made this announcement in a detailed post on his official Facebook page on Saturday, November 8th.

Azhari stated, "All my divisional Tafsir Mahfil has been postponed this year to be held in an open field."

He noted that last year's Tafsirul Qur'an mahfils, which took place across eight divisions, were conducted in a peaceful and celebratory environment. These events were successful, attracting millions of attendees, thanks to the diligent efforts and professionalism of law enforcement personnel.

However, the current circumstances are different. The country is currently experiencing an election heat wave, with the interim government announcing that national elections are set for February. During this period, the activities and campaigning of political parties are intensifying, which is placing additional strain on law enforcement agencies.

According to Azhari, it would be impractical to organize such a large tafsir event just before the elections. Therefore, taking the overall situation into account, he has opted to postpone this year's departmental tafsir mahfils.

He also mentioned that the historical mahfils of the Tafsirul Qur'an will be resumed after the elections, Insha Allah.

Additionally, Azhari shared that he is currently engaged with his newly established Hasanah Foundation. As the founding chairman of this institute, which aims to make contributions at the national level in the education sector, he is now fully committed to the foundation's work.

In conclusion, he expressed his wishes to the citizens of the country, stating, "Everyone will be well and healthy." He also offered prayers for the success of the Hasanah Foundation.
