This marks the fifth occasion on which President Md. Shahabuddin has come to his district of Pabna for an official visit lasting two days.

On Saturday, November 8, President Shahabuddin landed at Pabna Stadium from Dhaka via helicopter at 9:40 am. He was welcomed by Pabna Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Mofizul Islam and Superintendent of Police Mortoza Ali Khan. Subsequently, he reached the Circuit House at 9:45 am, where he was accorded a guard of honor.

Following this, the President is scheduled to visit the graves of his parents at the Arifpur graveyard in Pabna Sadar at 11 am.

Afterward, he will proceed to his residence in the Jubilee Tank area of Pabna city at 11:30 am. There, he will meet with relatives and spend some time in quiet reflection. He will also stay overnight at the Circuit House.

On the final day of his visit, Sunday, November 9, he will receive another guard of honor at the Circuit House at 10:45 am. He is expected to arrive at the helipad at Pabna Stadium at 11 am before departing for Bangabhaban.

In the meantime, security measures have been significantly heightened in anticipation of the President's visit. Stringent security protocols have been established at the stadium, Circuit House, Arifpur graveyard, and his private residence.

Notably, President Shahabuddin is visiting his home district for the first time in approximately 15 months since August 5. Previously, during the previous government, there was considerable enthusiasm surrounding the President's visit to Pabna, with the area adorned with banners, greeting festoons, and processions. However, this time, the atmosphere surrounding his visit is markedly subdued.

Since taking office as the 22nd President on April 24, 2023, he made his inaugural visit to Pabna on May 15 of the same year. In total, he has visited Pabna four times, making this his fifth visit.
