A fire ignited at a cotton warehouse in Tongi, Gazipur. Seven units from the Tongi Fire Service quickly arrived at the scene to combat the flames.

On Saturday, November 8th, a fire broke out at Milgate on Tongi Station Road in the district. The blaze was not contained until noon.

According to witnesses and fire service reports, the fire started in a cotton warehouse in the Milgate area of Station Road in Tongi on Saturday afternoon. Upon noticing the thick black smoke, they hurried to the location to extinguish the fire. However, the flames intensified during this time. Subsequently, locals contacted the National Emergency Service at 999. In response, seven units from the Tongi Fire Service arrived and managed to control the fire.

Mohammad Mamun, the assistant director of Gazipur Fire Service, stated that fire service personnel are still engaged in operations.
