


The Prime Minister began the day at the Bogura District and Sessions Judge Court, where he opened the new Advocate Bar Association building. Speaking on judicial independence, he remarked, "Justice is a constitutional right, not a favor."
A key highlight was the formal launch of the e-Bail Bond system across seven districts: Bogura, Jhenaidah, Kushtia, Natore, Rajshahi, Magura, and Jashore. This digital platform eliminates manual delays by transmitting court orders directly to prison authorities, ensuring faster inmate releases and greater transparency.
In a historic move for the region, the Prime Minister officially upgraded Bogura Municipality—established in 1876—to a City Corporation. Unveiling the plaque at the municipal headquarters, he pledged to transform Bogra into a modern commercial hub with international-standard urban services. The transition fulfills a long-standing local demand first proposed in 2006.
The Prime Minister later traveled to Gabtali, visiting the Ziaur Rahman Rural Hospital to kick off a Measles-Rubella vaccination campaign.
At a ceremony at Shahid Zia Degree College field, he launched the second phase of the Family Card distribution program.
Initial Beneficiaries 911 families received cards today. Expansion The program will reach 23 more upazilas in Bogra this month. Funding The PM noted that funds recovered from illicit financial outflows are being redirected to these welfare projects, with a priority on women-headed households.
The day concluded with the launch of a nationwide water-body restoration project. The Prime Minister inaugurated the excavation of the Choukirdah Canal in Nashipur. This initiative is designed to Prevent seasonal waterlogging. Boost local agricultural yields. Restore ecological balance and climate resilience in the north.
Following the inaugurations, the Prime Minister moved to the Bogra Circuit House before his scheduled address at a public rally at Altafunnesa Playground.
