Human chain demanding establishment of separate dental college in Rajshahi

Students of the dental unit of Rajshahi Medical College have formed a human chain demanding establishment of separate dental college in Rajshahi. The human chain was held in front of the dental unit of the Medical College Hospital in the city's Hetemkhan area on Sunday afternoon.

The speakers in the human chain said that the dental unit, which was once established at Rajshahi General Hospital, has been operating for a long time. It has all the necessary infrastructure, equipment and manpower. Therefore, it would be a timely initiative to establish a separate dental college in Rajshahi by utilizing this opportunity.

They said that it is necessary to establish a Rajshahi Dental College quickly to ensure quality dental education for students in the Rajshahi region and modern medical treatment for the people.

Dr. Nasrullah Sheikh, a physician of the standard dental unit, and lecturer Dr. Mahfuzur Rahman Raj, students Golam Mortuza Badhan, Paritosh Roy, Ruhul Quddus, Afrina Akhter and intern Nihal Rahman spoke.
