


A goat trader Md. Ali (35), was killed and at least five others injured when a truck hit an auto-van in Singra, Natore, on Thursday morning.
The accident occurred around 9:00 am at Singra bus stand on the Natore–Bogra highway.
The deceased, Md. Ali, son of Abul Hossain from Achalkot village, was a goat trader at Singra Bazar.
Police said an auto-van carrying goat traders from Sherkol Bazar was turning near the bus stand when an oncoming truck struck it.
The injured include auto-van driver Azahar Ali (60), Afsar Ali (49), Arif Hossain (38), Siraj Uddin (45), and another person.
One injured was sent to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital, while others were admitted to Singra Upazila Health Complex and later referred for advanced treatment.
Singra Police Station OC Rafiqul Islam said both vehicles were seized and legal action is underway.
