


Saminul Shah (57), a prominent businessman from Porsha in Naogaon, has died while undergoing treatment after being bitten by a snake.
He died on Saturday afternoon at Rajshahi Medical College Hospital. Saminul Shah was the son of the late Nur Hasan Shah of Naopara village in Tentulia Union of Porsha upazila. He was a shareholder of MRSA Bricks Limited and was also involved in the contracting business.
According to family members and local sources, a venomous snake bit him while he was resting in his bedroom on Tuesday night. He immediately informed his family. He was first taken to a local traditional healer. As his condition worsened, he was transferred to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital on Wednesday morning, where he was admitted for treatment.
Despite receiving treatment in the hospital's Intensive Care Unit (ICU), he died on Saturday afternoon.
Tentulia Union Parishad Panel Chairman Shahidul Islam confirmed that Saminul Shah died from complications following the snake bite.
