Rokon Uddin Babul, MP Distributes Tin Sheets and Cash to Kaliganj Disaster Victims

The government has distributed emergency relief materials to families affected by natural disasters in Kaliganj Upazila of Lalmonirhat. Organised by the upazila administration on Friday afternoon the initiative was funded by the Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief to aid in post-disaster recovery.

Under the distribution drive 20 affected families each received one bundle of corrugated iron sheets alongside a cash check of Tk 3,000 to assist with urgent home repairs.

Rokon Uddin Babul, Member of Parliament for the Lalmonirhat-2 constituency, attended the event as the chief guest. He stated that the government's swift assistance would play a vital role in helping families repair their homes and quickly rebuild their livelihoods following the disaster.

The distribution program was presided over by Kaliganj Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Md. Saiful Islam. Other key officials present at the venue included Upazila Project Implementation Officer H. M. Mazhanur Rahman, Upazila Engineering Officer Habibur Rahman, Upazila Livestock Officer Dr. Md. Ferdousur Rahman, and Upazila Agriculture Officer Tushar Kanti Roy alongside local public representatives.
