35-year-old man Hasan (alias King), was killed in a violent clash over control of the local drug trade in Khulna's Paikgachha upazila on Sunday (June 7) afternoon.

The incident occurred at the Chandkhali Garur Hat area in Chandkhali Union. According to local sources, long-standing tensions between rival groups competing for dominance in the regional drug market ultimately erupted into open violence.

During the confrontation, attackers critically injured Hasan. Locals rescued him from the scene and rushed him to the Paikgachha Upazila Health Complex, where the on-duty doctor declared him dead upon arrival.

The public killing has sparked panic and a deep sense of insecurity among residents. Locals note that while drug-related unrest has troubled the Chandkhali area for some time, Sunday's open bloodshed has severely escalated community fears.

Police have visited the crime scene and launched an investigation to identify and apprehend the attackers. As of the time of this report, no official police case has been registered regarding the murder.
