World Environment Day Marked in Morelganj with Tree Distribution

To mark World Environment Day 2026, a rally, discussion meeting, and tree distribution program were held in Morelganj upazila on Thursday morning. The event took place at the Sanyasi SP Rashidiya Secondary School in Khaulia Union.

Following the rally and discussion, fruit tree saplings were distributed to 75 families from the Sanyasi area at the Pasharbunia Climate Tolerance Center. Each family received five saplings—mango, guava, plum (barai), sweet orange (malta), and lychee—as part of a local initiative to support environmental balance and climate resilience.
